Developing ideas - Idea 3
For my 3rd concept, I want to use 'Butterfly Effect' by Travis Scott:
The music video mainly consists of a combination of animation, fast cars and some creative editing elements. It is a typical rap music video because of the main themes that are exhibited. However it does have a lot of things that would contradict typical rap music videos like the style of of the shots and the editing.
For my music video, I want to have the artist as the main focus and I want to use the studio for a lot of my shots. I would have low lighting and red smoke in the background with the artist rapping to the camera. I would then have another set with all white background and have close ups of girls and their eyes with a mask on.
I also want to have a shot where the artist is standing on some glass and the camera is underneath the glass. The artist is rapping to the camera and has a cup with water and is spilling it onto the camera which I think would be quite a unique shot. Inspiration I got for this was from Asap Rocky's LSD music video when he does the pov shot of Asap Rocky looking in the mirror.
