Finding our concept - Idea 2
At first we decided to use t a combination of ideas for our 2nd concept however since then we have coe up with something completely different to our last idea. This is what we had came up with before, heres a brief description Aidan had wrote on his blog.
"After combining our two previous ideas into one, we were now left wi a large gap to fill. This was a whole second idea we had to come up with and further develop. We took a lot more time thinking about this idea and making it different enough from the first one. However in the end we had decided on a final idea.
Our second idea would incorporate my silhouette idea, and Mima’s animation idea. It would be a much more simple idea as it would involve only a rapper in the studio. He would be on a green screen that we would turn white or possibly just a white background and be rapping and dancing etc. Similarly to Bruno Mars’ music video of “That’s what I like” small animations would be around him or on him. Possibly outlining certain features on his clothing etc. It would then hard cut between this and him as a silhouette. It would be on the same background and so we could cut between these very easily without the rapper being stutters or jerky in motion. We would then replace the silhouette with different images or videos, relating to the song and lyrics.
We then added different colours to the mix. Things like changing the colours of the background. We also had some ideas for cutaways, things like champagne bottles opening, spraying and smashing an old TV. This would keep the style more to a rap and incorporate what our target audience would normally be."
However since then we have come up with something separate from our first idea. Our new and improved idea is we would film group of kids going in to explore an “abandoned house”. When the go in, they hear this muffled music. The music fades in as it reveals a man sat on the floor with a set of cardboard DJ decks. The kids then get entranced by the music.
Our song choice would be very different to the first concept we had. This time we are going for a more commercial song that would be likely to be played at a house party.
